Sorry I've been gone for a bit!

Turns out the "quirky" thing I said towards the end of my last post ended up actually happening! I found a new place to live and I had to get all of that situated on top of moving and doing that whole not-dying thing I've heard is really popular.

If you've read this far in then you may actually be waiting in anticipation to hear any news about that music album I was making. Wait for it... anticipate a bit longer... ellipses....

It's done!

The entire album is finished and I am releasing it at midnight... on Bandcamp. I will be releasing it on here as well but I'm going to try something different with the newgrounds release. Since I can't really release a music album as one project submission (unless there is something I'm not aware of), I will be releasing two songs each week until the entire album is on here. I think this will give each song the best chance of living its best life on here. Thankfully this isn't a concept album so each song stands on its own without needing any additional context... for the most part. Also there are only 8 songs I will need to upload on here.

Including "Palm Tree Jail Cell" as the single for this project "Dirty Laundry" will have 9 songs in total.

Most of these were written as far back as October 2023. The writing for the album was finished in June 2024 but the recording took considerably longer than I had anticipated. I go in more detail on the changes to my workflow on the Bandcamp page description (the newgrounds playlist also contains a condensed version) but to keep it brief I was in a really bad place in life when I wrote these songs and what I thought would take a couple months to record ended up taking me over a year to do. Thankfully I'm in a better place now. When I was nearing the end of the project I kept intending to release at least one more single for the album but as I missed the unofficial January deadline (what was that about an "early 2025" album release?) and a ton of life stuff happened I felt I should focus my energy towards recording until I knew I had everything done and ready to release! (I'm really sorry it took this long!)

I feel pretty motivated for whatever my next project ends up being after this (which I have a few ideas I'm currently exploring). But... that is a post for another time.
