Hey there!

Before I start with this album update I just want to let you know that I did just release a single for said album. If you're interested check it out here.

So I know I said recording would take about two months back in June and as you can see that didn't happen. By August I had about half of the album recorded and felt it would take another month to finish. Throughout October I recorded most of the other songs and by the end of that month I only had one song left. I thought it might take a week extra to finish since this song was quite a bit longer than everything else. I am now in December and have finally finished the bulk recording of every song on the album.

While I could try to weasel my way out of responsibility by bringing up the fact I did say that my "deadlines" are usually set haphazardly I feel I should apologize for the long radio silence.

I'm sorry for staying quiet so long after the previous update. Once I realized this last song was going to be a several week affair, amid other responsibilities, I felt that I should put all of my attention towards finishing its recording as well as finalizing a song so I could have something to show here once I returned. Said song can be heard here. (this is definitely not a shameless plug)

So after this experience, one would think that I would try and not establish deadlines so haphazardly. Unfortunately this is not the case (check the title of this post) (alsolistentothesongplz). This time will be different though! Unless it isn't! I'm currently mixing the other songs and adding the smaller, necessary parts to it (i.e. solos, embellishments, etc.).

In a worst-case scenario another single will come out in January. I'm fairly certain the album will be out by March at the latest but maybe some wacky life events delay it.

Once again, I'm sorry I was silent for so long. Hopefully the next post will be about the release of the new album. This is just a quick update.

Tomorrow will mark 5 years since the first EP "A Western Tale" was uploaded on Bandcamp so I decided to upload the entire thing here. This is NOT the new album. I am still hard at work putting that album together and it's actually coming out pretty well! I'll post a single from that soon enough.

Also a bit of a warning these songs are from 2019 and were done at a time where I was even more amateurish than I am currently, so the songs are unnecessarily LOUD. I apologize for this!

I actually hit a self imposed deadline!

There won't be much to this update.

I finished writing the songs (there are 9 btw). Now I need to record them. Worst case scenario I'll start recording by the end of the June. The recording and mixing process might be pretty quick this time around since there aren't as many moving parts to these new songs. I'm hoping to finish recording in like 2 months once I can proper start. Hopefully the next time I post an update an actual song will be included.

Hello!

It's been a while since I've talked about anything on here. I do have new material for an album in the works. I still have about 2.5 songs left to write before I start recording proper but I'm hoping to start recording by June/July at the latest! I'll probably make a quick post when I finish writing the songs.

This next album is going to be the most ... regular? (yeah let's go with that!) album I've made. I'm guessing that it might hit an hour of runtime at most. It is also NOT a concept album of any sort, so expect the typical rambling I tend to do on these albums without any sort of through-line! I'm also trying to strip back the music to its basics and make something that isn't as busy as "Datascape". In fact I think this album is going to be closer in style to my first album "Where Am I?" Check it out if you're curious and fair warning, it's pretty rough and messy!

I also am planning on releasing some older music here in August to have it somewhere else besides Bandcamp. I also mentioned a website I'm working on in the last post and that is still in the works. I have the url and that's about it. I'll try to learn some HTML somewhere in between working on music, so yeah.

ALSO don't take any of these dates as hard deadlines! I tend to say dates haphazardly just so I can work towards a personal deadline of some sort. I will try my best to commit to these non-committal deadlines but don't be surprised if they're off by a few days or weeks.

Hello!

I haven't posted too many things on this site but I see that some people like the songs I have posted and are following. This is just letting everyone know on here that I am alive and I am starting to work on a few music projects including my next album. No guarantee on when any of these projects will be done but rest assure that they...exist?

Also for anyone who has enjoyed the songs I've posted here I do have full albums on my Bandcamp page. All are free to download except for the most recent album (bandcamp takes away account features if everything is free). Typically I make albums free to download once my newest album comes out. Also any songs I have posted here are also free to download at higher qualities if the mp3 quality doesn't suit you.
